I feel like this one was just okay。 Nothing to fun happened but nothing boring happened either。 Felt like a bunch of filler there for a bit。 I did enjoy the goofed up doodles of the youngest brother that pretty Mitch happened throughout this whole volume lol。

Estoy perdiendo el interés en la historia, hay ocasiones en que lo veo aburrido y otras donde me pierdo。 Ojala la siguiente entrega mejore un poco。

That was absolutely great progress for Masahiro and him finally voicing what he wants out of their relationship。 Even if Kousuke is older and has more experience, he can't always be deciding their relationship for them。 So I loved Masahiro stepping out of his shell and putting Kousuke in his place。 Which leads me to Volume 3 and how this series seems to be getting better and better。 I am starting to have a better grasp of the characters (since there are so many of them) and getting a hint into each of their personalities。 I absolutely love Kensuke (Kousuke's little brother) and Asaya's interesting relationship。 I love the Chairman and his weird expressions (I am fairly certain he is paranoid!)。 There are so many great characters。 The art style is steadily becoming a favorite of mine。 It has it's own flow to it and I quite enjoy it。 While it's not as whimsical as Rei Toma's work, it does have it's own appeal。 I am grateful that the mangaka has started to let up on filling the panels with so much stuff。 Yes they are still jam packed but it's not nearly as horrendous as the first volume where they stuffed everything into each panel。 I get such a headache when mangaka's do that because I never know where to look first。 This also goes with the speech bubbles as well! They are so much better now and you actually know who is talking。 And of course we have multiple themes that this author presents to us and in this one it definitely plays on the forbidden romance, no-one should know but people find out trope。 There are definitely homophobic scenes within this volume。 Or, more so hurtful words are said when they probably weren't meant but they should have never been said。 I like how each volume plays with new issues and there is a push for a resolution。 After reading all the current volumes of Hitorijime, My Hero, I can not wait to start the anime! I heard it's better than the manga。 So I want to see what the hype is about。 。。。more

I've thought a lot about this series, and have come to no conclusions。 First, to be clear, the first 3 volumes are very entertaining。 Arii has brought together a cast of characters which, metaphorically, keep the pleasure ball in the air - there’s always something interesting, funny, or dramatic happening。 The artwork and its style fully support and enhance the creator’s narrative。But this idea of a teacher dating a student who is 12 years younger? First, it's manga and not real, obviously。 I've thought a lot about this series, and have come to no conclusions。 First, to be clear, the first 3 volumes are very entertaining。 Arii has brought together a cast of characters which, metaphorically, keep the pleasure ball in the air - there’s always something interesting, funny, or dramatic happening。 The artwork and its style fully support and enhance the creator’s narrative。But this idea of a teacher dating a student who is 12 years younger? First, it's manga and not real, obviously。 Nor can a creator be held responsible for someone being influenced by their work, e。g。 such that a teen somewhere might be more open to a relationship with an adult。 So maybe it's just my hang-up。 And there is always the possibility that portraying such a relationship, far from encouraging a teen somewhere to put themselves at risk, allows young people to process their feelings, ideas and values in a safe way precisely because there are titles that push legal and social boundaries; by portraying what is normally unthinkable, a young person can become more confident in their ability to navigate a world where the unthinkable seems to happen more and more。Ugh。 If nothing else, Hitorijime My Hero disturbs my complacency and makes me think。 。。。more

Slight spoilers ahead。。 For me book three wasn't as good as books one and two but I still really enjoyed it。 I'm happy with how Masahiro and Kousuke's relationship is progressing and I'm glad Masahiro's circle of friends finally know about them。 That's one less thing to worry about。 Because I'm me I believe the story would have been better if it turned out that Shige actually had romantic feelings for Masahiro but that's just my overly dramatic self and the story as written is just fine。 Now on Slight spoilers ahead。。 For me book three wasn't as good as books one and two but I still really enjoyed it。 I'm happy with how Masahiro and Kousuke's relationship is progressing and I'm glad Masahiro's circle of friends finally know about them。 That's one less thing to worry about。 Because I'm me I believe the story would have been better if it turned out that Shige actually had romantic feelings for Masahiro but that's just my overly dramatic self and the story as written is just fine。 Now on to book 4! 。。。more

3。5 stars again。 Hasekura is still the best。 I’m starting to feel truly invested。

2。5 Hard to follow。 I want to love this series but it’s just messy and it’s like if you don’t have a good sense of the characters you’re just confused。 I still can’t put a finger on why it’s hard to read but it just is。

So cute!At the beginning I found difficult to follow the storyline, it wasn't always easy understand who was talking to whom。 Now that I'm much more in to it, it's getting easier understand all the balloons and the interaction between the mains characters。 Sometimes I forget the age gap between the two of them and it's weird when I'm thinking one is still underage。 But all considered they are really cute。 So cute!At the beginning I found difficult to follow the storyline, it wasn't always easy understand who was talking to whom。 Now that I'm much more in to it, it's getting easier understand all the balloons and the interaction between the mains characters。 Sometimes I forget the age gap between the two of them and it's weird when I'm thinking one is still underage。 But all considered they are really cute。 。。。more

Kristel (hungryandhappy)

I love how shy Masahiro is! And how happy he is to finally have people to call friends! He has this hard punk exterior but he is the softest cinnamon roll there is。 And his love for Kosuke-san is so pure!

Still a bit difficult to read and follow but the storyline continues to be cute!

The story and pacing are still problematic in that there's so many times I don't know who is speaking。 I'm not sure if this is creative license or just the editor or what。 It seems like it's getting better but if I hadn't seen the anime, pretty sure I'd be lost。 But I am still enjoying the story。 The age gap kinda hit me this volume as they start their SECOND year。 So like ugh this boy is no where near 18 but in for a penny in for a pound。 I'm committed now。 Plus their interactions are hilarious The story and pacing are still problematic in that there's so many times I don't know who is speaking。 I'm not sure if this is creative license or just the editor or what。 It seems like it's getting better but if I hadn't seen the anime, pretty sure I'd be lost。 But I am still enjoying the story。 The age gap kinda hit me this volume as they start their SECOND year。 So like ugh this boy is no where near 18 but in for a penny in for a pound。 I'm committed now。 Plus their interactions are hilarious。 。。。more

3。5 starI absolutely adore the art work but this volume felt even more unruly。 It even had a character list but didn't have all their names on it。 The plot has twist and turns but not in a good way。 Theres a lot of sitting in the present talking about the past from last week。 It could have just shown last week in real time。 I wanted to give this a higher rating。 But with the way the plot moves around it's very hard to keep up。I do love the main characters though。 They have a lot secrets still le 3。5 starI absolutely adore the art work but this volume felt even more unruly。 It even had a character list but didn't have all their names on it。 The plot has twist and turns but not in a good way。 Theres a lot of sitting in the present talking about the past from last week。 It could have just shown last week in real time。 I wanted to give this a higher rating。 But with the way the plot moves around it's very hard to keep up。I do love the main characters though。 They have a lot secrets still left to share。 But their concern about being caught, didn't seem to be a big of an issue anymore, after being done so。 There's just too many plot holes and jumping around but underneath it has a great story and a lot of heart warming love。 。。。more

Slightly better。 The pacing and story continuity seem to have improved with this volume。 We didn't bounce around as much here and there weren't any random one-shot stories randomly thrown into the middle of emotionally heavy story arcs。 I still can't understand why any of the characters are dating each other though。 I want to love manga Masahiro and Kousuke together, but I'm getting the vibe that they really only seem to be dating each other for the sex since they seem to argue or massively misc Slightly better。 The pacing and story continuity seem to have improved with this volume。 We didn't bounce around as much here and there weren't any random one-shot stories randomly thrown into the middle of emotionally heavy story arcs。 I still can't understand why any of the characters are dating each other though。 I want to love manga Masahiro and Kousuke together, but I'm getting the vibe that they really only seem to be dating each other for the sex since they seem to argue or massively miscommunicate during all of their other interactions。 And Kensuke and Asaya are a couple, but I wouldn't know it from the way they interact with each other。 Ugh, why the anime have to be so amazing?? 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 It was really good。 They face some problems in this volume, which makes it even better, but the issues quickly get resolved which makes everything even cuter。 I am really into the series, so what can I say? They become second years and a hint of jealousy develops between Masahiro and Kousuke, but that just makes the manga extra entertaining。 11/10
